with WebCT At Southern Connecticut State University A Students Guide WebCT is a web-based software package that provides a wide variety of web based course support tools to students and faculty. WebCT is available on a class-by-class basis. Since WebCT is web-based, it is possible to use WebCT from any computer connected to the Internet. Places include, but not limited to, on-campus computer labs, dorm rooms, and off-campus computers connected to the Internet. Students who are registered in a course that uses WebCT will be able to log into their WebCT courses using their MySCSU username and password. For more information on your MySCSU account, click here. How to use to WebCT. WebCT is a web-based application, so most web browsers, like Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator, can be used to access WebCT. The address for WebCT is: http://webct.southernct.edu/ Once the page is finished loading, click on ‘Log on to myWebCT’. Enter your MySCSU username and password to enter WebCT. If you have any problems with your MySCSU ID or password, please contact the OIT Help Desk at 392-5123. If you are properly logged in, you will be sent to your “My WebCT” window, where your WebCT courses will be listed by term (semester). Click on the link for the appropriate WebCT course to go to the WebCT home page for that particular course. Each WebCT course may have a different look and feel based on the organization that your instructor has set up. However, the navigation through each course should follow similar methods. For more information about the WebCT system and how to use it, go to the WebCT site at http://www.webct.com/students. There is a tutorial available that can assist you with the use of WebCT.
