| How to access your
university webspace through WS
FTP |

| Start by locating
WS FTP on your university machine by going to
the Start Menu and clicking on programs, then Internet Tools, then the WS_FTP folder then the WS_FTP program. ![]() When the program starts, a Session Properties window will pop up. Click the "New" button to start a new site that you will save as your MYSCSU WEBSPACE. ![]() After you have clicked the "New" button, most of the fields in the Session Properties will have dissapeared. Fill them in as follows: Profile Name: MYSCSU WEBSPACE Host Name/Address: www.southernct.edu Host Type: Automatic detect User ID: your MYSCSU username (ie. doej1)* password: your MYSCSU password account: (leave blank) comment: (leave blank) ![]() After you have filled in the appropriate fields, click on the Apply button to save your changes and then on the OK button to ftp to your webspace. After the server has authenticated your username and password you will see a folder by the name of "WWW". Everything you save in this folder will appear on the internet under the url: http://home.southernct.edu/~username/ ![]() *If you do not know your username for MYSCSU you can click HERE and search for it. |
