Step 1: Downloading
Eudora Start off by downloading Eudora onto
your machine. If you need to download the
software then click on the appropriate link for
your operating system. Windows Macintosh
OS X and Higher Macintosh OS 8.6-9.X
After you are done downloading the program,
execute the file and install the program in
the default directory. If you already have
the software then skip to Step 2.
Step 2:
Starting Eudora Eudora can be found in the
Programs list on your start menu under Eudora.
Click on Eudora to begin.

Step 3: Getting to the “Options”
in Eudora. In order for Eudora to download
your emails it must be set up properly to your
specific email address. Start by clicking
the Tools menu up at the top of the program
and going down to Options...

Step 4: Getting Started In
order for Eudora to download your MySCSU emails,
you have to properly configure the program
to your specific email address. After you have
clicked on options, a screen will pop up
like the one showed below. Find the "Getting
Started" icon on the list options on the
left and click on it. a form with five text
fields will appear on the right of the options
window. Enter your full name as you want it
to appear in your emails in the field Real Name.
In the box for Return Address enter your
MySCSU email address (i.e.
doen1@southernct.edu). For the Mail Server
(Incoming) and for the SMTP Server
(Outgoing) fields enter mail.southernct.edu.
In the field labeled Login Name enter your
MySCSU email address up until the
@southernct.edu (ie. doen1).

Step 5: Configuring Attachments
for Eudora Eudora requires the setting up of
an attachments folder in the case of emails
that have attachments in them. In the same
Options window scroll down and click on the
Attachments icon. A screen like this will
appear.

Click on the Attachment Directory
Button and another window will pop up. After
the window pops up you want to click on My
Computer > C: > Program Files>
Qualcomm> Eudora> Attachments and then hit
okay.

Step 6: Configuring Eudora To
Remember Your Password While still in the
options Screen, scroll up and click on the
"Checking Mail" icon. On the right you need
to check the box that says "Save
Password"
